
Adv. Dalia Qumsieh, LL.M
Dalia Qumsieh is a human rights lawyer, specializing in legal human rights advocacy (Palestinian bar, 2013), and the Founder and Director of the Balasan Initiative for Human Rights - Palestine. She is a graduate of Birzeit University School of Law (LL.B), Ramallah- Palestine (2009). She obtained her graduate degree in International Law (2009), and International Administration (2010), from the Law School of the University of Paris 1- Pantheon – Sorbonne, Paris, France. Prior to establishing BIHR, she worked in various Palestinian human rights organizations as a senior legal advocacy consultant.

Amir Surilla Almufreh
Amir is a human rights advocate, writer, and visual storyteller currently serving as Project Coordinator at the Balasan Initiative for Human Rights. A proud graduate of Al-Quds Bard College (AQB), he holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Media Studies (2018). His work centers on amplifying marginalized voices in Palestine through thoughtful documentation, reporting, and creative storytelling. With a background in civic engagement, monitoring & evaluation, and academic mentoring, Amir has coordinated national-level initiatives, facilitated workshops, and produced digital media content that bridges advocacy with art.

Bissan Amira
Bissan Amira is a Palestinian human rights researcher and legal advocacy professional working on legal research, field documentation, and the drafting of advocacy reports addressing land confiscation, settlement expansion, and forced displacement. She brings a strong background in community-based work, volunteering, and engagement with grassroots and human rights organizations, linking field realities with rights-based advocacy. Bissan is a graduate of Al-Quds Bard College (AQB), where she obtained her degree in Human Rights and International Law (2025).

Sabreen Hajahja
Sabreen Hajahja is a Palestinian researcher, content writer, and human rights professional currently serving as Project Coordinator at the Balasan Initiative for Human Rights. She oversees the planning, implementation, and coordination of projects, working closely with partners, stakeholders, and team members to ensure effective project delivery. Her work includes managing project activities, supporting organizational development, and contributing to strategic initiatives that strengthen advocacy and community engagement efforts. Sabreen holds a Master’s degree from Heinrich Heine University, Germany, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Rights and International Law from Al-Quds Bard College (AQB). Alongside her work in the human rights field, she has experience in academic research, content development, and digital communication, combining analytical research with accessible and impactful writing.
